Our Founders and Backers

The Company is founded and led by individuals with a passion for education and entrepreneurship. Our founder Ganesh is a serial entrepreneur with several successful enterprises like Customer Asset (Sold to ICICI) and IT&T to his credit. He is a part of the visiting faculty at leading management institutes and a charter member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), Bangalore.

We have been funded by Sequoia Capital, a leading venture capital firm which has funded web ventures like Google and Yahoo

Our team is headed by Dr. John Stuppy an entrepreneur and intrapreneur with over 25 years technology and management experience including a 14 year successful track record in education products, services, operations, sales, marketing, acquisitions, and business development. John comes to TutorVista from The Princeton Review, where he served as the Chief Information Officer

From 2 to 200 tutors

We started with a handful of tutors a few months back and have grown to more than 200 tutors. We have plans of expanding to 2000 tutors in the coming months. Our tutors are a very varied set who come from all over India.

We mostly serve the U.S and U.K markets but we have plans of reaching out to students in other countries as well. Our customers - the students and their parents have been very positive with their feedback on our educational services. That just goes to show that they recognize the value we are adding in the online educational space
