| Population Explosion |
 |
| Population explosion is one of the most serious problems faced by the developing countries. Increase in population has resulted in strain on the resources. More and more land has been brought under cultivation and occupation. This has reduced the forest cover that is important for the water cycle, regulation of climate, maintenance of wildlife, etc. Increase in population has also resulted in more industries and therefore more pollution of the environment. Lack of education is one of the main reasons for the uncontrolled increase in population. However, increase in population is putting the economy also under strain. This results in lack of funds for far-reaching education and thus the cycle goes on. |
