Natural Green House Effect
|
Before interference by any human activities green house effect by a coverage of gaseous blanket was in close equilibrium with earth's surface in the form of equilibria of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen cycles. Contribution of CO2 by natural decay of plants and animals or by respiration by animals to environment was in balance with absorption of CO2 from environment. Even water vapour of hydrological cycle acts as green house gas and maintenance of water vapour is governed by hydrological cycles. Release of H2O by various microbial activities was in harmony with utilization of nitrogenous resources by plants and animals.

Hence, natural green house effect had a protective role and was in good harmony with life activities on the earth's surface.
