| The chemical effluents released by industries have altered the composition of soil in deeper layers and have caused imbalances in the nature of soil. |

| Many industries such as goldmines, cement industry, iron ore mines, coal mines, bauxite mines have excavated the land to very deep layers to extract the ore. But most of them have never devised any method to cover up the excavations. Many such excavations have spread to several square kilometers and already to a depth of 2 - 5 km. Such activities have disturbed the soil nature in areas around mining site and become an ecological disturbance. Large quantity of water is stored here inviting breeding of mosquitoes. This area can not be used for civic and agricultural activities and pose a challenge to modern technology. |
