The composition of natural gas is chiefly methane (>90%) with traces of ethane and propane.

Uses

  • Domestic and industrial fuel.
  • In the manufacture of :

i) Carbon black - Filler in rubber industry

ii) Hydrogen - Raw material in the production of ammonium fertilizers.
