With hydrogen
When hydrogen is passed through boiling sulphur, both hydrogen and sulphur combine to form hydrogen sulphide (Fig.13.28).

With Carbon
Vapors of sulphur is passed over white-hot charcoal. They combine to form carbon disulphide (Fig.13.28).
With chlorine
When chlorine is bubbled through boiling sulphur, it forms sulphur monochloride (Fig.13.30).
