The play "Mirabai" has been taken from "Scenes from the life of Saint Mirabai", by E.L. Turnbull, in Dramatic Dialogue Readers (Little Plays from Indian History), published by Oxford University Press in 1931. The play portrays Mirabai's deep devotion towards Lord Krishna and the opposition she faces from the House of Mewars on account of her steadfast and firm faith.
