The message is an informal note left for a person who is away at that moment.
- A message is a short piece of communication to a person with whom you are quite familiar.
- Generally a conversation between two persons on phone is given. You are asked to leave a message on behalf of one of the callers.
- Identify the caller and the person to whom you are to leave the message.
- Write the date and time of message received.
- Write the message in reported speech.
- Convey the complete message. Be very accurate.
- Maintain word limit.
Read the following dialogue between Sundar and Moti. Moti has recently moved to Bangalore from Delhi and is on the lookout for accommodation. As Sundar is going to be out of station for a short while he promises to ask his uncle to help Moti in locating a house. Write Sundar's message for his Uncle.
Sundar: Welcome to Bangalore, Moti. When is your family joining you?
Moti: As soon as I find good accommodation. Can you please help me?
Sundar: Of course. What are your requirements?
Moti: Preferably in Indira Nagar - a three bedroom apartment. I can afford Rs.6,000 as rent. It would be better to get a ground floor flat.
Sunder: I am going to Mysore tomorrow, but I will ask my Uncle to help you. His name is Ram Iyengar. Telephone number : 666600
