Completion

Introduction

Conversation completion is a creative exercise in which the student is expected to read through the conversation and decipher what the question or answer could have been. He then has to complete the given conversation.

Completion

Given below is a conversation between two people with a few lines missing. The student has to read what comes before and after and guess the line.


Example

Meena: What would you like to drink?

Dilip: I would like some coffee, please.

Meena:____________

Dilip: Never mind, give me tea.

Suggested answer:

Sorry, I do not have coffee.


Example

Meena: Hurry up! It's late. Your clock shows 9:10 p.m.

Dilip: ________

Meena: Oh! That means we still have 10 minutes.

Suggested answer:

My clock runs ahead by 10 minutes.


Example

Meena: Have you read this week's edition of the 'City'?

Dilip: ______________________

Meena: Yes, there is! Our college has been featured on page 2.

Suggested answer:
