Construction - 16 ( b)

To construct a triangle when the difference of two sides, the remaining side and the angle between them are given

Type II

BC = 4.5 cm,

AC - BC = 1.6 cm

(1) Draw BC = 4.5 cm.

(2) At B make

. Produce XB to D such that DB = 1.6 cm and join DC.

(3) Draw perpendicular bisector of DC to cut BX at A.

(4) Join AC.

Then DABC is the required triangle.
