Introduction
A triangle is a geometrical figure formed by three lines, which intersect each other and which are not all concurrent.
Triangle
A three sided closed figure is called a triangle. Here side means a line segment.
Classification of Triangles According to Angles
According to Angles : If one angle of a triangle is a right angle, then it is called a right angled triangle.
Classification of Triangles According to sides
If two sides of a triangle are equal then the triangle is called an isosceless triangle.
If all the three sides of a triangle are equal then the triangle is called an equilaterla triangle.
If not any two of the sides are not equal then the triangle is called a scalene triangle.
Some Important Definitions
Median : In a triangle, a line joining the midpoint of a side to the opposite vertex is called a median.
Theorem
Sum of the angles of a triangle is equal to two right angles.
Summary
In a triangle the line joining a vertex to the mid point of the opposite side is called a median. The three medians of a triangle are concurrent at a point called the "Centroid".
