Introduction
|
Trigonometry is that branch of mathematics which deals with the measurement of sides and angles of triangles.

The word, trigonometry is derived from Greek, which means the measure of triangles. This subject was originally developed to solve problems in astronomy and geometry. In recent times, the subject has been extended considerably beyond the solution of triangles. The modern applications are of quite a different character. We shall stress on those aspects of the subject that are important for those modern uses.
