| Parameters that Define the Orbit of a Satellite |
 |
| Expertise is required in the planning, designing and fabrication of satellites. Each satellite has to be designed according to the purpose for which it is used. Also, one should have the basic infrastructure to fabricate the parts of the satellite with high degree of precision and to assemble the satellite. |

| The closed path of a satellite around the earth is called its orbit. The orbit may be circular or elliptical in shape. The characteristics that define the orbit are apogee, perigee and inclination. Apogee is the farthest and Perigee is the nearest point on the orbit of a satellite from the earth. The inclination of the orbit is determined by the angle it makes with the equator. |
