| To Determine the Height of an Accessible Electric Pole |
| |
| |
Let AB be an electric pole, standing upright, on the ground. Let the point C be the observation point i.e., the observer standing. Therefore, BC is a horizontal distance on the ground and angle is subtended between the base and the top of the electric pole. The point C is also called as the elevation of the electric pole and the distance from BC to the point between the point of observation and the foot of the electric pole is x and 'h' is one height of the electric pole. |
| |
| |
| i.e., h = x tan q, where the values of x and q could be known and the height of the electric pole be determined. This method is called Triangulation method. |
