Informal letter salutation
A letter is a written communication. A letter is more formal than a verbal communication.
There are different types of letters like:
Formal Letters –usually business letters and Informal letters
Informal letters.
An informal letter or a personal letter or a friendly letter is a letter to a close friend or a colleague. Informal letters are much easier to write than formal letters. An Informal letter can be quite casual .There is no particular way to write an informal letter. As the name suggests you can be quite informal and use casual words while writing an informal letter. You need not use big vocabulary words while writing an informal letter. If you are writing to a friend you can even use slang and abbreviations

The Heading
The Salutation (greeting)
The Body
The Closing
The Signature
Salutation is the greeting. It is written to address the person to whom we are writing the letter. The most common salutation in an informal letter is “Dear --------.The blank is meant for the person to whom you are writing. The name should be followed by a comma.(,).It is written by the left hand margin .Ex- Dear James, .In an informal letter we can use informal salutations like hello, hi, hey , what's up? and so on. You should be careful while using them. If you are writing to your father or your Uncle you would not normally use “Hey!”
Correspondence through Email can be especially informal, with the sender's initial message containing a more formal salutation such as "Hello Mr. James," and the later responses dropping the salutation all together.
