Question : I don't know anything about regression analysis and need to use it for some data for my dissertation. How do I go about this? If I have the 2 sets of variable data that I am comparing, how do I go about this on Excel? (As this is new to me, please make it easy to understand!) Thanks
Answer : In excel go to the functions tool, theres a button that should look like greek letter capital sigma (Summation function if u know math) that should pull up a new window with a lot of mathematical functions, click statistics to help weed out the ones you don't need and scroll through them (read the little caption to make sure you have the right function) i believe the name of the function is RegAn or RegAnal but i haven't used that in a while so just scroll through them to be sure. Once you click that use one part of you data set as the Y-values by highlighting the work and the other set of data as the X-values and you should get a formula as your answer in the form y=b+mx

LinReg y=a+bx a=15.04761905 b=1.257142857 r=.9879951689 So the equation would be y=15.05+1.26x And then after two days the lactic acid would be 18g/l and when it reaches 27g/l it would 10 days. For that all you gotta do is look in your table.
