Question : I really need help with this and I would really love it if someone could please talk me through it so i can do the rest on my own! f(x)=2x-2/x^2 and g(x)=3x+1

Answer : f of g of x is f[g(x)] = 2(3x+1) -2 ----------------- (3x+1) = 6x + 2 -2 -------------------- 9x + 6x + 1 = 6x -------------------- 9x + 6x + 1..   More from Yahoo Answers

Question : f (x) = l x l + 1 g (x) = sqrt 2 - x (close sqrt) find the composition f o g and specify it's domain using interval notation (f o g) (x) = ??

Answer : (f o g) = | g | + 1 (f o g) = |sqrt(2 - x)| + 1 here, the absolute value really doesn't contribute anything, because the square root is defined as the principal root, which is already positive... (f o g) = sqrt( 2 - x) + 1 domain: 2 - x >= 0, or x <= 2 in interval notation: domain is (-inf , 2]..   More from Yahoo Answers
