Question : I hava some data (about 1000 values) and they fluctuate quite a bit so in a line graph it looks pretty messy. So what i wanted to do is calculate an average periodically (eg for every 10 values) and plot this instead, is there any easy way to do this. Or do i need to calculate all of the averages and then plot them?

Answer : You can put the following formula (maybe in a blank col next to your 1000 values) . For example - in B1 type: =sum(a1:a10)/10 in B2 type: =sum(a11:a20)/10 Do this as many times as necessary and now you can plot this compressed set of averages...   More from Yahoo Answers
