Answer : I taught fourth grade last year. I am not sure what your son is learning now, but I can give you a summary of what I taught.... graphing review addition and subtraction multiplication and division beginning algebra problem solving strategies word problems fractions (simplifying, equivalent, etc) This is all I can remember at this time....I do remember that most of our time was spent on multiplication and division due to my students needing the most help there. That is something else to keep in mind. Each class is different. They have their own stregnths and weaknesses and teachers have the flexibility, in some cases, to work on the weaknesses and spend more time on them and breeze through where class stregnths are. Answer : two different lines must either be parallel lines or they must intersect at one point parallel lines have the same minimal distance separating them at any given point think of rails on a loooong straight segment of railroad the lines never get closer no matter how long they are two lines are perpendicular if they intersect at right angles (at equal angles, 90 degrees, between connecting lines) think of an intersection where each corner is a square corner the plus sign has two perpendicular lines intersecting at right angles two lines which intersect at a point form 4 wedges with a pair of equal angles opposite each other they are perpendicularlines if all the wedges have equal angles (meaning square or 90 degree angles) think of slicing a pizza once at random and then a second time at random.- two wedges, opposite to each other, will have the same size corners at the point of intersection. One pair will have smaller angle than the other pair and your wedges can be co....   More from Yahoo Answers
