General characteristics of covalent hydrides
Molecular hydrides are soft. They are generally, volatile in nature and have low melting and boiling points. They have low electrical conductivity. The electronegativity difference between hydrogen and the atom bonded to it, determines the properties of covalent hydrides. When ..

Question : How hard was it if you are pretty good in math?
Answer : General chemistry is a tough course if you have not ever had chem before. There is a lot to learn and not much time to learn it. The kids who took chem in high school have a big advantage. Having said that, still, if you are a good student and responsible about your work, you should be able to handle general chemistry. You need to be really methodical about it. Never skip class. Do all your homework very faithfully, do all the sample problems and the problems at the end of the chapter. Go to see the prof or tutor as soon as you have any questions. In other words, do everything that you should do for any tough course. I disagree with the comment that math is unrelated to chem. It is VERY related. You absolutely cannot do any serious chem class unless you have a solid understanding of basic algebra. I don't mean you have to be an advanced algebra whiz, but you have to be able to solve for x! There are a lot of problems that have factor conversions, proportions, and balancing equ....   More from Yahoo Answers
