Question : If you know some shop name it would be great! I live in Hertfordshire.
Answer : It would help to know what you're trying to achieve - but here's some basics - In the UK - Go to Halfords - or any car centre - and buy "Fastglass epoxy resin" It's quite cheap - dries very quickly when mixed properly. Use Vinyl gloves - and old aluminium take-away dishes - NEVER PLASTIC -it gets hot (and stinks) Also buy a cheap set of paintbrushes - and cut off half the bristles - leaving a stubby brush - ideal for pushing the resin around. If you need to copy a shape - use POLYMORPH - it's a hot melt plastic, available from MAPLIN , and can be formed by hand after melting in hot water. Once set - use Mr Sheen polish to act as a mould release agent - and pour in your resin mix. Metal shavings - are different to metal filings - and different metals will be magnetic or not. The best bet is to visit metal workshops that have a bandsaw. You will get a few pounds of iron filings for free. Expect it to be a mix of metals (and wood) - Wash, dry and separate them with magne....   More from Yahoo Answers

Question : when pouring liquid epoxy resin into a container of glass or plexiglas, the meniscus created is concave
Answer : The only way I know of to turn a concave meniscus to convex is to fill the container full to the lip. Then, the meniscus can be filled and the surface tension of the liquid will allow meniscus to become convex and stand above the top of the container...   More from Yahoo Answers
