Pullen and a colleague, Assistant Professor of Classical Studies Thomas F. Tartaron of the University of Pennsylvania, led students from both universities in conducting an initial study of the site during May and June of 2007. Question : I am interested in legit answers, not rants. I really do want to know if someone has a real answer. There must be something we can say here, based on reality, not opinion.
I have lived in cities, small towns, suburbs and in farm country. The division is real in my experience. I do have my own theory but I am really interested in legitimate ones.
Thanks in advance to all who answer. I always close my questions.
Answer : There are several reasons for this. 1. Cities have more single adults, rural areas have more families. Those with families are more likely to vote conservative. 2. Cities and urban areas have more universities and high-paying jobs taken by those with degrees and college educations. The more educated you are, the more likely you will vote liberal (that's an actual fact I learned in my college Government course, don't downvote me for it). 3. Cities have a higher minority population (blacks, gays, etc) and these minorities are more likely to vote liberal. 4. People who live in rural areas are more likely to hunt. Therefore, they are more likely to vote for a candidate that supports gun rights. 5. People in small towns are less exposed to people of other races, sexual orientations, religions, etc, simply because there is a much smaller sample size. The less you are exposed other cultures, the more traditional and conservative your outlook will be.
