Question : I recently took the SAT+Writing. I did relatively well on the 2400 scale with a score of 2240. This is due to the fact that I got a perfect score on the essay. However, I've heard that the Critical Reading and Math scores are truly the important parts, leaving me with only a 1440 on the 1600 scale.

Answer : Every college has different preferences. I got a 2240 too (pretty coincidental), but on the 1600 scale I had a 1530. Many large universities or colleges look at the entire 2400 scale, meaning you have it made. At the same time, a ton of small liberal arts schools only look at math and reading. Question : I've already taken the SATs twice, and both times I've done good enough in reading and writing. this time, i got a 700 in critical reading and a 690 in writing. However, i dropped from a 620 (which isn't great) to a 600 in math. i just don't understand math at all!!! How can i improve this score when i don't have the money to take an SAT course?

Answer : get an SAT book and study it a while before the tests. You should take lots of practice tests from it beforehand so you can know what type of score to expect. Good Luck! :)..   More from Yahoo Answers
