Question : Im trying to improve my spelling and grammar skills any tips or advice would be helpful. Also,how can a person read more books? Im really lazy when it comes to reading and i would love to be a regular reader so i can improve my english skills and learn more stuff.
Answer : Reading a lot is the best way to improve your grammar and spelling skills because you'll just unconsciously pick that up as you read. The best way to become a reader is to turn off the TV and computer and just read instead. Go to the library or bookstore and find a genre of books that you enjoy reading -- mystery, thriller, science fiction, westerns, sports biographies, etc. -- and start reading. Keep a book with you at all times -- in your backpack, in the car, in your room -- so that there's always something tempting to read. If you're not really a book person, then pick up a newspaper or magazine (maybe something like Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, Time, etc.) and read those. Question : I'm thirteen years old,and in 6th grade(I was left back in 6th grade,because I was absent so much due to me being somewhat sickly >>).
I was taking an official IQ test and the person that gave it to me said I have the reading skills,vocabulary and spelling skills of an eleventh grader.
Is that good? Eleventh graders are..16 year olds,in general,right?
She wasn't talking about the test,she was talking about my skills since I was answering the questions.
Answer : In 7th grade, I tested at College level. In 8th, I took the S.A.T.'s and got something in the 1300's. The biggest problem in school I faced was boredom. So I took Drama, Film, and Army J.R.O.T.C. After a 2 year break to race motorcycles (I built my first engine when I was 10) I went back to school. I've studied Aviation, Nursing, and Culinary arts.
