Correlation - In probability theory and statistics, correlation, also called correlation coefficient, indicates the strength and direction of a linear relationship between two random variables. See also: Computers & Math Statistics Information Technology Mathematical Modeling In general statistical usage, correlation or co-relation refers to the departure of two variables from independence, although correlation does not imply causality. In this broad sense there are several coefficients, measuring the degree of correlation, adapted to the nature of data.. Answer : Sorry, I've never heard of stata, but you should try Minitab for Windows. You can get a free 30-day download. It is great for carrying out regressions, ANOVAs, glms, etc. http://www.minitab.com/downloads/ BTW, Vassarstats is another great site for smaller calculations. It's webbased and always free. http://faculty.vassar.edu/lowry/VassarStats.html

Question : I need to change the hazard ratios reflecting change per one unit increase to change per five unit increase. Example: I want the HR for each 5-unit increment of blod pressure instead of one unit increment, which is the default for my continuous blood pressure variable. Thanks.
