Question : I teach world geography at the sophomore level in Reno, Nevada. I'd like to find a way to get my students better connected and more aware of how people live around the world. Does anyone know of a correspondence program (either online or in paper) where I can get my kids talking to others?
Answer : www.epals.com or www.etwinning.net aso I use the 'local' feature on Yahoo - click on local on the homepage, say in England www.yahoo.co.uk - then enter a region (whichever you fancy!) and search for 'primary schools' or 'secondary schools' - you'll get a list of schools in that area, and links to their websites if they have one - with an email address - just write them an email - perhaps addressed to the Headteacher, outlining who you are, a little about your school, and what kinds of things you'd like to do - it's worked for me!
