Example: A {1,2,3,4} ; B {3,4,6,8}
Now A B = {1,2,3,4,6,8}
A B= {3,4}
Let us see if our hypothesis AB = A+B-AB holds
A+B={1,2,3,4,3,4,6,8}
AB={3,4} - common elements in A and B
A+B-AB= {1,2,3,4,3,4,6,8} - {3,4} = {1,2,3,4,6,8} = AB
So we have proved that hypothesis is true using the venn diagram template above.
