Deconstructionism Definition

Deconstructionism is essentially a theory of word based or textual criticism or interpretation that refutes there is any single/ sole correct meaning or clarification of a passage or text.  If words don't mean anything unless we assign meaning to them then they are actually meaningless. Deconstructionism means to evaluate the meaning of roughly something in terms of what is both apparently obvious and also its not-so-apparent subtexts. It is a mode of investigation that examines the fundamental assumptions intrinsic in a text. It poses the question: what makes this statement possible? Deconstructionism aims to show what makes the statement possible.
