Hermeneutics is the field of knowledge that has to do with interpretation, especially of the Bible Scriptures or literary texts. The theory of accomplishing an understanding of writings, scripts, texts, sounds, utterances, and so on. Hermeneutics has an extended history, reaching back as far as ancient Greece. The purpose of hermeneutics is to help people know how to correctly interpret, understand, and apply the Bible.
