Metaphor Definition

A metaphor states that one thing is another thing it is a figure of speech or phrase that specifys an object or action that aren't similar but have something in common.

Metaphors compare two things in a way that isn’t exactly true, but aids in explaining an idea or make a resemblance. Metaphors are used in poems, literature, and when an author wants to add color to his language.
