Roman Numbers Table

Roman numbers were discovered by Romans. They used Latin and English language symbols for writing numbers. They introduced Roman number system in order to write numbers in a compact way. Numbers were very widely used in ancient Rome. Even the kings used to write their names by writing numbers at the end of their forefather's name.

There are few rules which are to be followed for writing Roman numbers:
  1. A symbol can not be used more than 3 times in a row.
  2. The numbers are added when a bigger number is used before a smaller number.
  3. The numbers are subtracted when a smaller number is used before a bigger number.
